Life Ethics

Here we are.  If you are troubled by the reasons of life, I invite you to be enlightened.  In today’s world, religion, region, race, status, and gender play a role in deciding the worthy reasons to stick out life.  Nothing can be harder than having life and not knowing what to do with it.  A friend taught these lessons to me and I hope you pass them on.

Life is not about keeping score.  It does not matter how many friends you have, or how accepted you are.  Do you think your god would accept you based upon the number of people you know?  In particular, life is not about whom you are dating, whom you use to date, how many people you have dated, or if you have not been with anyone at all.  It should not matter whom you have kissed.  Life is not about sex.

Life is not about who your family is, how much money they have, what kind of car you drive, or where you went to school.  Your physical appearance is in no way a factor on life.  It does not matter how beautiful or ugly you are, what clothes you wear, or what shoes you have on.  Whether your hair is blonde, red, black, or brown or if your skin is too light or too dark, it does not matter in life.

Life is about whom you love and whom you hurt.  With that, you have the choice to make people happy or unhappy purposefully.  You can keep or betray trust with friends.  You need to focus on what you say and what you mean, maybe hurtful, maybe heartening.  You could start rumors and contribute to petty gossip.  Why mess with that?  It is just going to get you in trouble in the end.

What judgments you pass and why, and who your judgments are spread to is what life is about.  Life is about jealousy, fear, ignorance, and revenge.  It is about carrying inner hate and love, letting it grow, and spreading it.  Nevertheless, Life is about using your life to touch or poison other people's hearts in such a way that could never occur alone.  Only you choose the way those hearts are affected, and those choices are what life is about.
